Omkareshwara Temple

Temple built in 19th century, in 1820, by King Lingarajendra II presenting an interesting architecture that attracts not only devotees but everyone. The speciality of the temple is that its construction reflects a combination of Gothic and Islamic styles. It has a large central dome surrounded by four minarets like that of a dargah. Best Time to visit: November to March and Timings: 6:30 AM to 12:00 Noon and again from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM.

Talacauvery

It is an important religious place. It is the birth place of sacred river Cauvery, 46 km from Madikeri. Talacauvery stands tall at a height of 1276 meters above sea level in the kodagu district of Karnataka state. There is a small spring called as a tirtha kundike or Brahma kundike. It is believed that the river originates from this spring. This spring actually flow underground and emerges after a short distance. It is one of the best places to visit in Coorg and is among prime place to visit on a Coorg trip.

Spread over a sprawling 64-acre land, the island is filled with thick bamboo groves, sandalwood, and teak trees. The island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge. The waterfall is a combination of many streams that come together and fall into a pool of water that flows and merge into River Kaveri.
